On Friday, 26th September 2025, Senator Pam Dachunggyang, representing Plateau North Senatorial District, empowered constituents with farming inputs and palliatives at Langfield Event Centre, Little Rayfield, Jos. The event drew a large, jubilant crowd, celebrating the senator’s timely intervention amid tough economic conditions.

In his address, Sen. Dachunggyang expressed heartfelt joy, describing the day as historic. He reaffirmed his commitment to serving Plateau North, stating that upon becoming a senator, he vowed to God to serve his people diligently. He emphasised his focus on human capacity development, describing Plateau North as a unique zone with a diverse population and vibrant economic potential.

The senator outlined some of his key achievements, including facilitating government employment for constituents and active participation in 19 National Assembly committees, notably chairing the Tourism Committee. He acknowledged the challenges of responding to every request but pledged to always do his best for the people.

Highlighting past efforts, he recalled empowering constituents in poultry farming and constructing a skill acquisition centre in Riyom. He emphasised the importance of education, citing personal interventions such as paying school fees for entire student sets in GSS Riyom and GSS Kwatas, and supporting individuals with hospital bills and other emergencies.

Hon. Daniel Mutfwang, a seasoned quantity surveyor, commended Sen. Dachunggyang’s consistency, referencing last year’s empowerment, which included 900 bags of fertiliser and cash support. He expressed optimism that the 2025 programme would surpass previous ones and cautioned beneficiaries to use their support wisely, especially the cash grants, for genuine business ventures.

Breakdown of 2025 Empowerment:

– 100 beneficiaries received ₦100,000 each for small businesses.

– 500 received a bag of fertiliser each.

– 70 farmers got knapsack sprayers, herbicides, and inputs.

– 22 individuals will receive special-purpose tricycles.

The beneficiaries expressed deep gratitude and prayed for continued success for Sen. Dachunggyang in his political journey.
