S’Eagles set for USA friendlies against Venezuela, Colombia

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has confirmed that the Super Eagles will face Venezuela and Colombia in the United States of America during the FIFA international window in November 2025.

NFF’s FIFA Match Agent, Jairo Pachon of Eurodata Sport, revealed that the Eagles will battle Venezuela on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Shell Stadium in Houston, Texas, with kick-off scheduled for 8pm Texas time.

Four days later, on Tuesday, November 18, the three-time African champions will confront Colombia’s Los Cafeteros at Citi Field Stadium in Flushing Meadows, Queens, New York.

Kick-off is set for 8pm Eastern Time (1am Wednesday, November 19, in Nigeria).

The Eagles’ last tour of the US came in the summer of 2022.

Then, under new Portuguese coach José Peseiro, Nigeria lost narrowly 1-2 to Mexico at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas, with Cyriel Dessers netting a powerful header for the Eagles.

The team also faced Ecuador’s La Tricolor in New Jersey during that tour, losing by the odd goal.

With Venezuela and Colombia now lined up, the November friendlies will offer Nigeria another stern test against top South American opposition.
