The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that a total of 6.85 million Nigerians have successfully registered in the ongoing nationwide Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise as of October 5, 2025.
The Commission made this known in its Week Six update published on its official website and cited by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday.
According to the report, 3.58 million registrants, representing 52.23 per cent, were female, while 3.27 million, or 47.77 per cent, were male.
INEC disclosed that 4,689,637 of the pre-online registrants were youths aged between 18 and 34 years, while 1,728,384 were students and 154,479 were Persons Living with Disabilities (PWDs).
On the physical registration, the Commission revealed that 1,216,048 Nigerians had completed their registration as of October 5.
The data further indicated that 658,766 individuals completed their registration after initial pre-online registration, while 557,282 registered through the physical process only.
Out of the total completed registrations, 675,222 were females, representing 55.53 per cent, while 540,826 were males, accounting for 44.47 per cent.
INEC also noted that youth participation remained dominant, with 897,676 of those who completed their registration falling within the 18–34 age bracket.
A further breakdown by occupation showed that students accounted for a significant portion, with 424,126 completed registrations recorded in Week Six.
The Commission also confirmed that 17,450 Persons Living with Disabilities successfully completed their registration during the period under review.
