DAILY NUGGETS

Life moves through seasons. Each has its own peculiar rhythm, colours and challenges. At times, amid the noise and busyness, we find ourselves quietly asking: “What about my purpose?” Many people wonder if their sense of direction has been lost between responsibilities, expectations and the pressures of daily living. But purpose is not lost—it is not something outside of you waiting to be discovered; it is something within you waiting to be awakened.

Purpose is designed, not achieved

Purpose is not a trophy to be earned. It is a truth to uncover. Each of us was created with meaning woven into our very being. Whether you see it as divine design, destiny or a higher calling, purpose gives direction and significance to your existence. It is not measured by titles or accomplishments but by alignment with what you were uniquely created to do.

You begin to connect with purpose when you pause to ask deeper questions:

Why am I here?

What brings me alive?

What good can I bring to the world through who I am and what I do?

This discovery often unfolds through reflection, stillness and intentional listening. Whether through prayer, meditation, journaling or quiet thought, purpose speaks most clearly in moments of calm. In stillness, you begin to hear what truly matters.

Modern life is loud. It is filled with work demands, family duties and personal challenges. But purpose rarely shouts; it whispers. To hear it, you must create space for silence. When you take time to pause, you reconnect with your inner design—your natural gifts, talents and passions.

Ask yourself:

What comes effortlessly to me?

What problems stir my heart when I see them?

What brings fulfilment even when there’s no reward attached?

Your answers often point toward your purpose. Even your struggles are not roadblocks—they are clues. Every challenge carries lessons that refine who you are becoming. Often, the areas of your greatest pain reveal the areas of your greatest potential.

Living purpose daily, not someday

Many people postpone living out their purpose, waiting for the “perfect time”—when life slows down, when they have more resources or when circumstances seem ideal. But purpose is not a distant event; it’s expressed in the present. It shows up in how you live, love, serve, create and contribute today.

Purpose grows clearer as you take steps—one choice, one act, one moment at a time. You don’t need to see the full picture before you begin; you only need to move in the direction of what feels meaningful and true.

To sustain purpose, you must live in balance—spirit, soul and body working together in harmony.

Spirit: Stay connected to what gives you inner peace and strength—your faith, your values, or your sense of higher calling.
Mind (soul): Guard your thoughts and emotions. Surround yourself with people and environments that nurture growth.
Body: Care for your health. You need strength to carry the weight of your purpose.

Purpose thrives in wholeness. When one part of your life is neglected, the others suffer.

Many feel unqualified to live purposefully because of past mistakes or present struggles. But your story—every broken piece and every victory—can become the very ground where purpose grows. Don’t run from your journey; embrace it. What once hurt you may one day help someone else heal.

Every stage of life—youth, adulthood, career, family, transition or even uncertainty—carries purpose within it. Sometimes it looks like growth; other times, it looks like waiting. But every season is shaping you for what’s next.

So wherever you find yourself today, remember this: purpose is not a faraway dream—it is alive in you now.
