From AMEDU JOSEPH, Lokoja

The Academic Board of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, has approved the second semester results for National Diploma (ND II) and Higher National Diploma (HND II) students across various departments, with 56 students graduating with distinction.

According to a statement by the institution’s Director of Public Relations and Protocol, Mrs Uredo Omale, the breakdown showed that 20 students graduated with distinctions in the ND II programmes and 36 in the HND II category.

The results were considered and approved during the Academic Board Meeting held at the Main Campus on Monday, presided over by the Rector and Chairman of the Board, Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman.

Professor Usman commended the Central Result Verification Committee, chaired by the Deputy Rector, Dr Samuel Taiwo Olowo, for a thorough and transparent job.

He also praised the deans of schools, heads of departments and the Director of the Information Technology Resources Centre (ITRC) for their diligence, commitment and resourcefulness throughout the result verification and approval process.

The rector expressed appreciation to Governor Ahmed Ododo for providing the enabling environment that allowe education to thrive in Kogi State.

He noted that the government’s consistent support had been instrumental in strengthening the polytechnic’s academic framework and promoting infrastructural development.

Professor Usman urged the graduating students to remain exemplary ambassadors of the institution and encouraged those still in school to remain focused and disciplined, as management continued to maintain high academic standards.

He reaffirmed the management’s commitment to transparency, academic integrity and the holistic development of students across disciplines, adding that Kogi State Polytechnic remained dedicated to producing graduates who will contribute meaningfully to the growth and progress of society.
