STORY TIME

By REJOICE BITRUS

Once upon a time, in a small village, there was a boy named John who loved to play football. But John never shared his ball with anyone. “It’s mine!” he would always say, holding it tightly.

One afternoon, John went out to play alone. He kicked the ball, but it rolled into a big puddle of mud. He tried to reach for it but couldn’t. Just then, a girl named Esther passed by. She saw him struggling and said, “Don’t worry, I’ll help.”

Esther stretched out a long stick, pulled the ball out and handed it back to John. Surprised, John asked why she helped him even though he never shared with anyone. Esther smiled and said, “Because kindness means helping, even when someone has not been kind to us.”

John thought for a while and said, “From today, I will share my ball with you and everyone. Let’s play together!” From that day, John became known as a kind boy.

Moral Lesson:

When you are kind, you make people happy and the world a better place.
