The Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment to revitalising Nigeria’s tertiary education sector through decisive physical intervention, policy reforms and sustained dialogue with the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and other university-based unions.
A statement signed by the Director of Press and Public Relations, Federal Ministry of Education, Folasade Boriowo, said this was the outcome of ongoing engagements with ASUU and other unions.
According to the Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Olatunji Alausa, President Bola Tinubu remained resolute in his administration’s determination to resolve all lingering welfare and funding issues in the education sector in a transparent, fair and sustainable manner.

He stated that the disbursement was processed through the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation.
“This is an indication of this administration’s commitment to the education sector in the country,” he stated.
