Nasarawa: Paramount ruler hails Sule

The Paramount ruler of Kube Chiefdom in Panda Development Area of Nasarawa State HRH, Christopher Jatau has described the leadership qualities of Governor Abdullahi A Sule of Nasarawa State as a replica of his predecessor Senator Umaru Tanko Al Makura.

Addressing a meeting with  prominent sons and daughters of the chiefdom recently, the Royal Father described the former Governor of the state  Senator Umaru Tanko Al makura as a leader with good gestures to them while he was in office, saying that, it is quite gratifying and marvelous that the present Governor has also taken his steps towards such directions in an attempt to improve on their socio-economic livelihoods.

In his words” We remain grateful to his excellency senator Umaru Tanko Al Makura. Under his leadership as the governor of Nasarawa State,he was the first to empowered us with the following, construction of Panda – Kube road, the ongoing construction of our  palace, an upstairs blacks of class rooms and he upgraded our traditional status from third to second class status respectively. 

It will also interest you to know that the present governor of the state Engineer Abdullahi A. Sule is just a replica of his predecessor because of what we have seen on him and we believe he will soon come to our aid to complete  the ongoing projects started by his predecessor of chiefdom” he stated hopefully.

As regards the issue of farmers and herdsmen relationship within his chiefdom the Paramount ruler observed that “ In fact their relationship is very cordial here. If any issue of misunderstanding between the two surfaces we due resolves them amicably. As a father of this chiefdom I don’t judge on sentiment because I am for everybody irrespective of differences in affiliations because we are all created by one God” he assured.

In their separate remarks at the meeting, the District Head of Kube, Mr.John Dangiwa,  the Chairman,National Union of Teachers, Nasarawa State branch, Comrade Francis Tete Jatau, Sarkin Kukuri Mr. Benjamin Adamu, Sarkin Angwan Pa Mr. Ali Awesu and Sarkin Shinkafa Mr. Ishaku Sabo thanked their paramount ruler HRH Christopher Jatau for his fatherly role and guidance to the entire people of Kube Chiefdom in all ramifications promising him of their maximum cooperation always and ready to obey the government of the day.

They however called on Nasarawa State government to assist them in the areas of repairing their respective  dilapidated roads and School structures as well as to provide them with some social amenities such as bore holes and electricity in order to enhance their socio-economic welbeings. 

Toto LG admonishes people on Covid-19 pandemic

The authorities of Toto Local Government Council of Nasarawa State, have taken concrete measures to ensure total compliance by people of the area about the measures imposed by the state government with a view to curtail the spread of the dreaded Corona Virus in all over the state.

The Executive Chairman of the Council, Prince Nuhu Dauda made the disclosure while speaking to newsmen in his office in Toto during the week, where he said the council has already swung into action towards ensuring compliance by the people.

According to him, as parts of the measures screening outfits have been established at every entry points of the local government especially that the areas share a common boundary with the Federal Capital Abuja and Kogi State, adding that hand sanitizers were also provided in all public places while awareness campaign on the need for the people to adhere to good hygienic practices have been intensified.

He stated that all public gathering places like markets, worship centres, social gathering places have been closed down adding that officials of the State’s government are supporting the local government in educating the people of the area about the dangers of the dreaded corona virus and the need for them to keep themselves away from it to stay safe and healthy.

Speaking about the level of compliance by the people of the area, the Chairman expressed his satisfaction with how the people take the issue of the disease with seriousness and complied with the various advices given to them by the health care providers.

The Chairman who expressed the delight that no single case of the disease was recorded in the area, assured that on its part his administration in collaboration with the State’s government and all other relevant stakeholders would continue to work together and pray for free-coronoavirus from the area the state and Nigeria as a whole.

While expressing his satisfaction with the positive response and compliance from his people, he urged them to continue to adhere strictly to the advice given to them by both the authorities and the health care officials.

Meanwhile, ourman who went round the area noticed that most of the public gathering places were closed down and the movement of people have been restricted.
