Aduku replaces Ogbe as ACF Chairman

The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has appointed Gabriel Yakubu Aduku as its new chairman to replace Audu Ogbeh, who has completed his tenure in office.
Secretary of the ACF Leadership Selection Committee, Bukar Zarma, disclosed this, recently, during a media briefing after the National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of Arewa leaders. He said that the appointment of Aduku was unanimously endorsed by members. Chief Aduku was former Minister of State for Health and Amana Ogohi 1 of Attah Igala.

He said: “The ACF at its meeting held at the national headquarters on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, the NEC approved the appointment of Gabriel Yakubu Aduku as the new Chairman of the Forum.

“He takes over from Audu Ogbeh, whose tenure has expired. Also, at the same meeting, the appointment of Secretary-General of ACF, Murtala Aliyu, was renewed for a second term of three years.

“It should be noted that the 21 members of the National Working Committee of ACF were dissolved, following the expiration of their tenure. A new committee is being considered and will be released soon.”

Meanwhile, Ogbeh, who delivered a speech at the meeting, urged all members of the Forum to support Aduku in his mission to move ACF and the North forward under the new dispensation.

Besides, he implored the Federal Government to place a premium on the development of the agricultural sector of the country, and also find lasting solutions to insecurity in the country.
