The All Progressives Congress (APC) youths in Bauchi State have expressed their disappointment with the former Governor Mohammad Abdullahi Abubakar (SAN), for his new ‘relationship’ with the incumbent, Bala Mohammed who is seeking re-election as a governor.

The group called Air Marshal Youth Vanguard while addressing journalists on Sunday, accused Abubakar of engaging in anti-party activities by honoring his successor’s invitation to a dinner organized for him.

Recall Governor Bala had last week organized a special dinner for his predecessor on his attainment of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).

M.A.Abubakar is said to be the fourth citizen of the state to get the rank. While speaking at the event, Abubakar who governed the state under APC commended his PDP successor for recording “so many successes in various sectors”.

He added that “I must commend him (the Governor) for the giant strides he has achieved in various sectors of the economy of the state.

“Since the aim is to develop the state, I’m in full support of the developmental strides he has succeeded in achieving and I’m very happy because I don’t have any other state than Bauchi.”

However, the group, led by Ismail Musa, condemned the ex-governor for honoring and delivering “his speech where he eulogized the PDP controlled Bauchi State Government, and even called for his re-election. What a double standard.”

Musa accused the former Governor of failing APC as a sitting governor and cannot be trusted by the party. He said ” M. A.Abubakar and his wife have been paying ostrich and it is now evident that they are not with the Progressives. The leopard cannot change its color by a mere deep in the sea,” he said.

He said it is shameful and unfortunate for Abubakar to even associate himself with the PDP in the state, most particularly, the governor himself who castigated and called him names and a failure including calling him non indigene (Bako).
