The Executive Chairman of Karu LGA, Hon. James Thomas has advised the people of the LGA to conduct themselves peacefully before, during and after the Governorship and State House of Assembly elections scheduled for Saturday 18th March 2023.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Senoir Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to Karu LGA Chairman, Comrade Danbaba Uba Magaji Friday.

The Honourable Chairman said, there is no election that is worth the blood of any citizen, while democracy and good governance can only thrive when there is peace and peaceful coexistence.

According to the Chairman, political differences must never cause hate and chaos among the good people of Karu LGA and Nasarawa State. “We remain brothers and sisters in spite of our political differences.”

The Hon. Chairman urged politicians and political parties, opinion leaders, traditional rulers and parents to caution their wards and youth, to shun violence and thuggery before, during and after the elections.

The Honourable Chairman also called on our religious leaders and everyone to pray for a peaceful and successful election in the state and Nigeria at large.
