THE Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Keffi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State has expressed his satisfaction with peaceful and orderly conduct of the National Elective Convention just concluded in Abuja describing it as a boost towards the revitalization of the Party.
Speaking with the Nigerian Standard in an exclusive interview after the Convention in Keffi during the week, the PDP Chairman expressed the optimism that the Party is now placed on the right track that would enable it regain its lost glories and revive its winning strategies.
“With the just concluded National elective convention which began and ended peacefully and bring the much needed unity and enthusiasm from the major stakeholders of our Party, there is indeed a high degree of optimism and expectations that the party would now be back fully on track” he stated emphatically.
Babayo who also commended both the organizers and major stakeholders of the Party for their rare display of commitments to revive the Party to garner its full strength, stated that they have contributed to the growth of democracy in Nigeria as such they should be seen and regarded as true patriots.
He then expressed the believed that the PDP is now prepared enough to give the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) a good opposition and can also wrestle pioneer with it come 2023 to take over and take Nigerians to the land of peace, security and prosperity.
Babayo who is onetime served as an elected Councilor in Keffi local government council, therefore assured the State’s and National Officers of the Party of his full support and co-operations to enable them succeeds in the task ahead of them.
While congratulating the new Officers of the Party who emerged through Consensus and the few that were elected, he urged them to be more focus and determined in their efforts to make the Party great again.
He then solicited for the full support and co-operations of all PDP members and supporters to the new National and State’s Officials to enable them succeeds in revamping the Party to face the challenges ahead of it.
To those that they were aggrieved because of one thing or the other, the Keffi PDP Chairman urged them to cut the Olive branch and channel all their grievances through the peaceful and orderly means in such a way that an amicable resolution of their demands would be met successfully.
