With less than sixty days to the exit of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) administration of Governor Samuel Ortom in the state, confusion has enveloped the running of government as the outgoing and incoming administrations have continued to engage each other in war of words.

Already the incoming governor, Reverend Father Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia has issued a circular restraining heads of state government agencies from complying with Governor Ortom’s directives and approvals.

Similarly, the Benue of the All Progressives Congress (APC), comrade Austin Agada has warned financial institutions, Permanent Secretaries, MDAs, of , office of the and local government DGSAs that are collaborating with the outgoing government to increase Benue indebtedness through loans, overdrafts or other financial obligations to stop forthwith as the governor’s latest move will be viewed as financial sabotage to the incoming government.

Governor Ortom cautioned the incoming administration to desist forthwith from making inciting and provocative statements while issuing threats to officials of government.

He said “as functional and responsive government, he reserves the right to employ and appoint qualified Benue into positions where vacancies exist.
