The Chairman of Bassa Local Government Council, Hon. Chindo Gona, joins other Nigerians in the celebration of our 21 years of democracy. In this regard, he congratulates the Plateau State Governor and Chairman Northern Governors Forum (NGF), Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong, on the occasion of this year’s Democracy Day and successful five years in office. And also, for piloting the affairs of the state with wisdom and maturity which has taken Plateau to greater height.

This was contained in a goodwill message made available to the PPC Digital arm in Jos. The chairman congratulated Nigerians, Plateau people on the occasion of Democracy Day set aside to commemorate our freedom and Nigeria as a sovereign state.

Gona patted Lalong on the back for his resilience in the face of the many challenge occasioned by the Covid-19 pandemic and for keeping his campaign promises in spite of the times. According to him, civil servants were never deprived of their salaries neither has it been delayed even as our resources suffered as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The chairman said he cannot help but express his joy over Lalong’s laudable achievements in marking the Democracy Day. They include: granting Executive pardon to some inmates within  Plateau, buying back BARC Farms which is in his domain, Universal Basic Education and mounting surveillance tower at some flash points in the city centre to aid in security matters.

Considering the fact that Bassa is a crisis flash point, Gona is calling on Governor Lalong to extent the same gesture to mount a surveillance tower in the heart of the town. This will go a long way in checkmating incessant attacks on unsuspecting communities in his domain.

Long live Nigeria!

Long live Plateau State!!

Long live Bassa LGC!!!

Long live Governor Lalong!!!!
