 Dino picks female deputy

The candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in the upcoming governorship contest, scheduled for November 11, 2023, in Kogi State, Sen. Dino Melaye on Friday, picked a woman, Hon. Habeeba Deen, as his deputy.
Our correspondent gathered that the ex- Governor Ibrahim Idris of Kogi State and leader of PDP in the state unveiled Deen.
Our correspondent also learnt that Dino’s deputy was a former member of Kogi State House of Assembly and hails from Ankpa Local Governnent Area in the Eastern Senatorial district of the state.
The candidate of PDP, Senator Dino Melaye while speaking at a brief ceremony held at the residence of the former Governor Ibrahim Idris in Abuja, said that the choice of Habeeba Deen was based on her political value and track record of contributions for the progress of PDP.
“We will continue to do things that are innovative and different,” Dino said.
Present at the unveiling ceremony include state Chairman of PDP, Engr. Sam Ohuotu, Senator Tunde Ogbeha, former Governor Ibrahim Idris, Prince Olusola Akanmode, Dr. Tom Adaba and Mrs. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan among other party stalwarts and members.
