Emir lauded for his fatherly role

THE Eze-Igbo of Keffi Igwe Celestine Mbah has expressed the gratitude of the Igbo community to the Emir of Keffi,  Dr. Shehu Muhammadu Chindo Yamusa for the fatherly role and sense of belonging he has been giving to his people and all other Nigerians.

Speaking during the sixth year celebration of the Emir during a gala night at the Assembly Hall of the Nasarawa State University, Keffi recently the Igbo leader described the good leadership attributes being demonstrated by the Emir by carrying all along as quite encouraging and assuring to all especially to his people.

“In fact, the good leadership attributes being demonstrated by the Emir that carries our people along in the scheme of things is quite encouraging and assuring” he stated.

Igwe Celestine who specifically thanked the Emir for giving the Igbo community in his domain a sense of belonging and carrying them along, stated that he has truly demonstrated that he is a father to all and assured them of his determination to work towards the spirit of unity and demonstration of one indivisible Nigeria which they firmly stood for.

He further stated that such noble attributes by the Emir has continued to encourage and inspire them to invest more in Keffi so as to contribute to its socio-economic activities among other aspects of human endeavour as well as promote and Project its good name to attract more investors and meaningful developmental activities.

The Igbo leader then assured that on his part,  he would continue to mobilize his people towards bringing more investment, peaceful coexistence and support to the policies and programmes of both the Emirate Council, the state government and Nigeria as a whole.

While stressing the need for the people of the area to continue to support the Emir and live in peace and harmony with one another irrespective of all differences, he believes that there is more to gain from togetherness and peaceful co-existence.

“We have more to gain from peaceful co-existence unity and harmony, as such we should as much as possible strive to uphold such attributes” he stressed.

Mbah who congratulated the Emir for attaining the sixth year in the throne of his fore-fathers, prayed  the Almighty God to continue to guide him with more wisdom, good health and protection to enable him continue to do more for the people of the Emirate Council, the state and the country at large.
