Gov Sule set to reconstitute cabinet

AS Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State prepares to re-constitutes his new cabinet after the recent dissolution of the first one.

He has been advised to ensure the engagement of a reasonable number of youths and women in the new one that he is about to make.

This according to Keffi based advocate of youths participation in political affairs and governance Hon. Salisu Saidu has become highly imperative with a view to energize the new cabinet for an effective delivery of services to the people of the state.

Speaking with SUNDAY STANDARD in Keffi recently, Hon. Saidu believed that the inclusion of the youths and women would enable the new cabinet to have fresh ideas and a better direction that would lead the state towards the next level of peace unity and prosperity.

“Given the youths and women to participate as members of the next cabinet entails providing an opportunity for the state to chart the path of moving to the next level of peace Unity and Prosperity” he stated.

Assessing the performance of the Governor in the last two years, the political activist described the achievements recorded as quite encouraging and promising saying that the future would also be much better given the zeal and determinations  demonstrated by the present administration in the state.

He however urged the Governor not to relent in putting more efforts with a view to enable him live up to his covenant with the people of the state as a means of guaranteeing him a second term of office come 2023.

Speaking on the issue of security, Saidu further commended the Governor for the measures being taken towards guaranteeing the safety of lives and  properties especially in areas that were seen as flash point as people now go about their lawful means of livelihood unhindered.

On the peaceful co-existence prevailing in the state, the youth political activist who is also former state’s House of Assembly candidate under All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) before joining the All Progressive Congress (APC), commended the people of the state for their resolve to continue to live in peace and harmony with one another despite their social, political, tribal and religion differences.

He therefore tasked them to continue with such spirit with a view to attract meaningful development and the free flow of investment opportunities both from within and outside the country in view of the endowments and potentialities the state is blessed with.
