Governor Sule presents campaign flags to candidate

GOVERNOR Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has formally presented campaign flags to the chairmanship candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Nasarawa Western Zone Senatorial District with the confidence that the party would win all the electoral seats by what he described as a clean-sweep through a democratic means not by force or the use of governments might.

Speaking during the presentation of the flags to the candidates in Keffi which comprises of Karu, Keffi, Kokona, Nasarawa and Toto Local Government Areas, the Governor attributed his confidence to the remarkable performances of the APC led administration in the state an action which he said has attracted  a remarkable and encouraging support from the electorate.

Sule further stated that the party has made a choice of credible and reliable people to bear its tickets in all the electoral positions across the state as such it has no reason to lose its sleep whatsoever as it has the confidence that apart from the Chairmanship seats, it would also clinch all the 147 available councillorship seats.

“Our party has no reasons to lose its sleep because the people of the state are quite satisfied with our remarkable performances an action that is attracting support to our side almost on daily basis. As such, we are highly confident of coming out in flying colours at the end of the day” he stated.

Sule however tasked those bearing the party’s ticket to embark on massive campaign within the nooks and crannies of their areas and strive hard to work for the people diligently by imbibing the spirit of justice, fairness, transparency and accountability with a view to continue to earn their support and confidence.

He then expressed the delight that the party is accommodating more women both in its leadership positions and as candidates just as it recently has Hajiya Safiya Abubakar Gada as the Deputy Chairman of Keffi and assured that more opportunities are going to be provided for them to enable them aspire to many leadership and political offices to enable them actualize or realize their political aspirations or dreams.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Nasarawa West Zonal Chairman of the APC, Alhaji Iyal Aliyu Hassan has assured on the readiness of the people in the area to come out en-masse and vote for all the candidates of the party come October 6th the election day.

In his remarks, Senator Abdullahi Adamu thanked the Governor for his developmental strides in the zone and all other parts of the state and assured him of their continued support to enable him succeed beyond 2023.

The first civilian governor of the state then appealed to all the APC supporters in the area and the state to come out en-masse and vote for the candidates of the party on the election day to enable them emerge victorious.

Also speaking, a former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Ahmed Aliyu Wadada stressed the need for the people to come out in their large numbers and vote for the party during the elections to enable the party win convincingly during the elections.

He however admonished all those elected under the platform of the Party to always ensure that they conduct the affairs of the people with  high sense of justice, equity and fairness so as to retain the confidence reposed on them and also enhance the electoral fortunes of the party in the next coming elections in the state.

Contributing, Members of the Nasarawa state House of Assembly representing Keffi East and Keffi West, Hon. Abdulazeez Sule Danladi (Sarkin Samari) and Hon. Baba Aliyu Ibrahim Nana expressed their delight with the growing wave of support the party is gaining under Governor Sule and assured their readiness to support the emergence of all the candidates successfully.

The Acting state’s chairman of the party, Mr. John D.W. Mamman has also expressed the optimism that the party would carry the day come October 6 and tasked all the party’s supporters to ensure peaceful conduct during and after the elections.
