Gyukka solicits support from delegates

AN aspirant for the position of chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Nasarawa State, Sen. Philip Gyukka, has called on the party’s delegates to drum support for him in the forthcoming state congress election.

This was contained in a press statement signed by Senator Philip Gyukka’s Media Team and made available to THE NIGERIA STANDARD in Jos, recently.

The statement revealed that Sen. Gyukka is no doubt one of the stakeholders in the state that can reconcile aggrieved members of the party.

It indicated that Senator, Gyukka had served as member Nasarawa State House of Assembly for eight (8) years where he held sensitive positions like Chairman House Committee on Finance.

It maintained that because of his immense contributions in the state House of Assembly, he was called to contest for senate under Akwanga, Nassarawa Eggon, Wamba Senatorial District which he won and served for 4 years in the National Assembly where he also served as Deputy Chairman Committee on finance.

According to the statement, before Sen. Gyukka he ventured into politics, he was a Banker to the core who served in different capacities, one of which was Principal Manager Bank of the North.

It further revealed that throughout his career, Sen. Gyukka has never compromised his ambition as he is determined and added that, if given the mandate, he would do everything possible to see that the party maintained a very strong structure that would enable it regain its lost glory at all levels in the state.
