Mallau  emerges as JNC Chairman of Plateau State

THE Plateau State Joint Negotiating Council (JNC),  has elected its new Executive Council to oversee the affairs of the Union in the next two years with  Comrade Titus Malau  of the Senior Staff Association  as  the new chairman.

Also elected are Comrade Fwengak Daniel Yilbissa of the NUPPPPROW as the Vice Chairman,  with Comrade Timothy Gopep of NCSU and Comrade Nelly Amamma, of NUPSTROW as Secretary and Assistant Secretary, while Comrade Priskila Dabit as its Treasurer respectively.

Announcing the results after a keenly contested elections, the returning Officer, Comrade Roseline Uba Anara, who is the National Treasurer of Joint Public Negotiating Council, described the elections as peaceful and transparent urging the new EXCO to move the association forward to the next level.

She,  however,  rated high the peaceful conduct of Plateau State Council in terms of labour relations, praying that they continue in this spirit of oneness and love for one another to propel the council to the next level.

Delivering his acceptance speech, the newly elected JNC Chairman, Comrade Titus Malau, thanked members  for the confidence reposed in them and promised not to betray the trust his members gave, but would give their best to move the association forward by concentrating on the welfare of members.

He,  therefore, promised to operate an opened door policy that would give room to contribute with constructive advices that would help the association to where it would address the plight of members toward a productive public service.

Meanwhile, the Permanent Secretary, Labour Matters, Mr. Isaac Maran,  who represented Governor Simon Bako Lalong, commended the peaceful conduct of election and congratulated the newly elected Executive urging them to leave up to the expectations of the association.

The Plateau State NLC Chairman, Comrade Eugene Manji, reiterated the need for the new EXCO to work toward the unity of the association because together they stand, divided they would fall, hence the need for a purposeful unity.
