Mass Communication Dept. holds first lecture series

The Department of Mass Communication, Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU) Anyigba, is set to hold its first public lecture series with Dr Gabriel Alhassan Ottah, the Special Adviser to Kogi Governor on Information and Communications, as the Guest Lecturer.

A statement from the Public Relations Unit of the university, indicates that the first public lecture series is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at Prof. Francis Idachaba’s Lecture Theatre I, by 10:00am prompt.

According to the statement “The Guest Lecturer, Dr Ottah, will be delivering the lecture with the topic:” Citizen Journalism and Fake News: Implications for Nigeria Democracy.”

“The hosts are Prof. Steve Metiboba, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences; and Dr Chris Attah, the HOD and Chairman Public Lecture Series, Mass Communication Dept.; while the Chief host is Prof. Marietu Tenuche, the Vice Chancellor of PAAU.

“The general public is hereby invited to grace the all-important occasion”, the statement concludes.
