Muslim faithfuls in Plateau State have been admonished to ensure they live exemplary lives worthy of emulation.

Governor Mutfwang made the call when he led a  government delegation to commiserate with the family and the Muslim Ummah over the demise of the Chief Imam, Jos Central Mosque, Sheikh Yahaya Adams, at his residence.

The governor, who described the turnout of sympathizers as an indication of the late cleric’s leadership qualities, charged them to emulate the virtues he left behind.

Governor Mutfwang used the occasion to admonish them to learn to do good while still alive  as, according to him, death is no respecter of class, status or education, hence the need for them to get closer to Allah.

Responding on behalf of the family, Alhaji Garba Abdulkadir appreciated the governor for identifying with the family and the entire Muslim community during their moment of grief and prayed Allah to grant the late Sheikh’s soul Aljanna.

He also gave kudos to Governor Mutfwang for his continuous support for the activities that uplift their lives, in addition to his efforts in transforming the state.

He therefore pledged the Muslim Ummah’s unalloyed loyalty and support towards moving the state forward.

The late Sheikh Yahaya Adams had already been buried according to Muslim rites.
