Friends, well wishers and family, gathered in Jos during the Yuletide to celebrate the life and times of Ngo Mary Choji Lomak who turned 80 some months ago.

A grand reception was held in her honour at the Tamerald Event Center, Jos, which drew a huge crowd, made up of people from diverse walks of life. It was a gathering of the cream of the society.

His Majesty, Da Jacob Gyang Buba (CON), Gbong Gwom Jos, was the royal father of the day. He was represented by Da Edward Gyang, the Gwom Rwei of Barkin Ladi.
Guests were treated to sumptuous meals, dance and pageantry. There were goodwill messages from some of the guests.

The Leading Pastor of her local congregation in COCIN Laranto, Rev Ezekiel Nyam gave the exhortation, and offered special prayers for the celebrant.

Ngo Mary Choji Lomak was born on the 10th July 1943 to the family of late Da Chuwang Bot Fang Wang-Song, and Ngo Galyop Chungwong Gashas (aka Gu’nu) of Foron and Ropp Districts respectively of Barkin Ladi LGA Plateau State.

Her children described her as a God fearing, committed, loving, caring and a wonderful person.

Joel, one of her sons, said that she is decent, fashionable and sociable in her personality.
Her elder son, Joseph described her as very accommodating, and says her home is indeed a rallying point and always full of excitement because of the numerous people in the house. “All her resources always go back into the kitchen just to ensure everyone is well fed. Ngo treats everyone as her own, therefore, it is difficult to notice any discrimination among the children or even adults in the house” he said.
