DEPUTY Minority leader of the House of Representatives, Hon. Toby Okechukwu has congratulated the governor elect of Anambra state Prof. Charles Soludo on his victory at the just concluded governorship election saying he is choice of the people.
In a congratulatory message made available to National Assembly correspondents in Abuja Okechukwu described Anambra as one of the most endowed in human capital and material resources, adding that he believes Prof. Soludo had what it takes to harness them for the speedy transformation of the state.
He expressed the believe that the governor elect has the experience exposure and reach, which will greatly benefit Anambra and the South East in their quet for Socio-economic transformation.
While calling on the people of Anambra state to join hand with Prof. Soludo, as he sets out to deliver on his mainifesto and mandate, the legislator equally lauded the sportsmanship exhibited by other governorship candidates as well as the patriotism, professionalism and determination displayed by the security agencies, INEC, and the civil society organisation which he said culminated in the free, fair and credible conduct of the election.
Hon. Toby Okechukwu charged INEC to up its game and address the wide spread hitches. The commission should perfect its technology and the deployment of logistics in the other off season elections in Ekiti and Osun state to reassure Nigerians as we match towards the 2023 general elections.
