PDP Chairmanship candidate accepts election outcome

THE Chairmanship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the recently concluded local government elections in Keffi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State Hon. AwaisuAbdullahi has accepted the outcome of the election in good faith and even congratulated the declared winner Hon. Baba Shehu Mohammed.

Speaking with newsmen in Keffi, Awaisu stated that as a firm believer of God who gives and takes away power and everything, whenever and wherever he wishes he has accepted the outcome of the elections in good faith.

Awaisu further stated that as a true democrat who firmly believes in the spirit of sportsmanship he has no reason to drag or cause any confusion instead he has decided to congratulate him and wish him the best to enable him go about fulfilling his campaign promises to the people.

The PDP flag bearer however admonished him to endeavour to discharge his responsibilities diligently with the fear of God as well as the spirit of equity, justice and fairness to all irrespective of their political, religious, social and other differences as a means of earning the people’s confidence and attract the guidance and support of God the creator of all.

Awaisu who is a retired Military Officer and once served as the Secretary of Keffi Local Government Council along with the present Chairman assured that he would continue to pursue his political ideals and aspirations to the best of his abilities for the purpose of bringing meaningful peace and development to the area, the State and the country as a whole.

To his teeming supporters, the PDP flag bearer thanked them for their support and encouraged them not to waiver as victory would smile unto them after another struggle.

Speaking about the conduct of the local government’s elections in the State, Awaisu however tasked the State’s Electoral body NAISEC to improve on its outings by always ensuring that they conduct a free and fair election especially that they are on oath to do the right thing always and they would be made to account for their actions or inactions at the end of the day.
