The Executive Secretary of the Plateau State Drugs and Medical Commodities Management Agency (PS-DMCMA), Pharmacist Kim Jerry Bot, along with the agency’s management team, has held interactions with the management staff of the Plateau State Hospitals Management Board (HMB), led by Chief Medical Director, Dr. Benjamin Sumi.

These were held at the newly completed pharmagrade warehouse of the PS-DMCMA on Murtala Mohammed Way, aimed at enhancing collaboration and strengthening inter-agency ties.

Kim emphasized the importance of delivering healthcare services in alignment with Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s vision for a better Plateau.

He shared insights into the activities of the PS-DMCMA and expressed the agency’s determination to develop proprietary medical products.

Acknowledging the HMB as a key stakeholder, he highlighted the strengthened bond between the two entities, pointing out that “What we have in mind is to work closely with the HMB. We desire to serve you better.

“The days of out-of-stock syndrome and counterfeit products are over. Our major concern is ensuring that secondary health facilities receive the best.”

He expressed confidence in the current management team, emphasizing its commitment to maintaining high standards.

Earlier, Dr. Sumi commended Governor Mutfwang for appointing seasoned technocrats capable of delivering results, urging his fellow appointees to live up to expectations.

“We won’t succeed if we don’t work in tandem. We know that HMB is dear to you and critical to His Excellency’s success. We must work together as one to move the state forward. You have a new edifice waiting for commissioning, and we deemed it fit to come and see things for ourselves,” he stated.

The PS-DMCMA is finalizing arrangements for the commissioning of the pharmagrade warehouse/office complex, which is ready for full operations.
