Sallah celebrations: Borno Police restrict  vehicle movements

Borno State Police command has placed restrictions on vehicular movements during Sallah celebrations in the state.

This restriction as stipulated is to be operational as  from 6am-12noon on Sallah day in MAIDUGURI and environs.\

This was contained in a press statement issued by the, ASP Yakubu Mohammed, Deputy Public Relations of the Command adding that such  restrictions would affect motor vehicles, tricycles, bicycles, wheelbarrows, horses and donkeys, just as worshipers have been advised to  adhere strictly, to safety protocols and observe  social distancing while going for prayers as any person not wearing face masks will not gain access into the Eid ground.

Worshipers are  advised  to pray at praying grounds nearest to their homes and should arrive early at their respective eid grounds for security screening to avoid stampede.

The command further warns that,no bags, weapons or sharp objects will be allowed into any praying grounds, urging worshipers to cooperate with security operatives and urged the public to be security conscious and report any suspicious movement of persons or activities to the security.
