The Speaker, Plateau State House of Assembly (PLHA), Rt. Hon. Abok Nuhu Ayuba, has congratulated Sir Boniface Gwotbit on his appointment by the Plateau State Governor, Simon Bako Lalong as the General Manager Plateau Publishing Corporation (PPC), publishers of the Nigeria Standard newspapers.
In a congratulatory message issued on behalf of the speaker by his Press Secretary, Bulus Atang, Ayuba described Gwotbit’s appointment as well deserved, considering his rich pedigree as an administrator which will impact positively on the corporation.
While assuring of the 9th assembly’s continued support, he prayed for success in his new assignment, urging him to work closely with all stakeholders, carrying everyone along towards ensuring that the Nigeria Standard newspapers competes favourably with other print media in the country.
Meanwhile, the speaker has in a statement sympathized with the member representing Pankshin, Kanke and Kanam federal constituency in the National Assembly, Yusuf Gagdi over the demise of his father, Mallam Adamu Gagdi.
Ayuba, who described his death as a huge loss, said the deceased died at a time when his wealth of experience and fatherly advice was needed most.
He sympathized with the immediate family, Jhar community, Kanam Local Government Area and the entire constituents, praying God to comfort all and grant his soul eternal rest.
