Suswam frowns at Plateau attacks

Former Governor of Benue State,, Senator Gabriel Suswam has commiserated with the government and people of Plateau State over the attacks meted on the people where hundreds of people were killed.

According to him, the attacks were senseless , callous and uncalled for. He has called for thorough investigations and those found involved in any way be punished accordingly.

Senator Suswam who said anything that touches Plateau affects Benue , called on the federal government to fish out the perpetrators of the callous killings meted on the eve of 2023 Christmas on the people of Bokkos, Mangu and Barkin – Ladi Local Government Areas of the state.

He lamented the spate of crime being committed across the country by unscrupulous elements, saying it was saddening seeing innocent people being sent to their graves untimely.

He congratulated Governor Mutfwang over his victory at the Supreme Court and said that it was a victory for all. Suswam urged him to leave a mark on the sands of time where he would be remembered for a long time.

While receiving Senator Suswam at his residence on Monday, Governor Caleb Mutfwang thanked him for the show of love. He said the unprovoked attack on the people of Bokkos was callous and promised that the perpetrators and sponsors would be fished out and punished.

According to him, the people of the state were peaceful and wondered why such an act would be meted on them. He expressed his desire to leave a better and prosperous state.

Gov . Mutfwang also commended President Ahmed Bola Tinubu for standing with him in the trying moments. And promised to do his best to ensure that no similar incident occurs again as well as to ensure that the perpetrators were brought to justice.
