THE member-elect to represent Jos-North/West Constituency in the Plateau State House of Assembly, Hon. Mark Sunday Na’ah, has promised to touch the lives of his constituents through legislation that would have a positive impact on areas yet to be touched to cushion the hardship his people faced.

He made the promise Saturday, shortly after receiving his Certificate of Return at the State Headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Jos, the Plateau State capital following his declaration as the winner of the Assembly election by the Court of Appeal, Abuja.

The member-elect said, “I am excited and I believe that my supporters are happy. Elections have come and gone, but it is a process and poll is one thing and legal procedures are another but play the game according to the rules.

“Today, we have been declared and we have received our Certificates of Return to assume office immediately after our enrolment. So, for me, it is a great day and I am actually looking at the party ahead. I am trusting God for grace to be able to pave the way for the dividends of democracy for my people.

“I know people have felt disappointed to an extent. But I want to assure my constituents that as a young man and politician, my desire and prayer is to do things differently and to build on what others have done, which I see on the path of positivity and add up to what I will be able to do within my strength and the availability of resources that the Lord is going to put in my hands”, he pledged.

Na’ah, however, said although his primary assignment was legislation, he would ensure that bills that would have a direct bearing on his constituents will be his priority and that he was prepared and ready for the task ahead with God on his side.

The member-elect, matching out with the Certificate of Return at INEC Headquarters Jos, he was received by a mammoth crowd who came all the way from his constituency to show their support for him. They were seen chanting victory songs in his honour.
