Lawmaker doles out palliatives to constituents at Christmas

Minority Whip of the House of Representatives, Hon Ali Isa JC, has presented over 7,000 bags of rice and six cows to some members of his constituency for the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

Presenting the items to all the 20 ward heads of the opposition PDP and religious organizations in his Balanga/Billiri Federal Constituency, Hon Ali said the gesture was to augment what the people have for the celebration of the Christmas and New Year festivities, considering the economic hardship being experienced in the country.

The distribution of the items which was done in Billiri, Cham and Talasse, saw each beneficiary taking a bag of rice, a token amount of money and cow meat. The Balanga and Billiri LGA chapters of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) were also beneficiaries of Hon Ali Isa’s gesture.

Similarly, the House of Rep member also organised a dinner party in honour of 50 youths from Gombe State whom he assisted to get enrolled into the Nigerian Immigration Service and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps.

Ali Isa said apart from assisting the youths get employed into various ministries and agencies of government at the national and state levels, he promised to continue to ensure that his constituents and other Nigerians enjoy the benefits that come with democracy.

He announced plans to drill and install 20 solar powered boreholes across Balanga and Billiri LGA of the State. Already, three have been completed within his six months in office at the NASS.

He called on the people of the area to continue to pray for peace and support his efforts to bring more projects to the constituency and the state at large.

“I will ensure that whatever is due to Balanga/Billiri Federal Constituency, Gombe South and the State does not elude the people”, he vowed.
