22,000 applicants applied for police constable from Bauchi – CP

Bauchi State Commissioner of Police, Auwal Muhammad Musa, has said that 22,000 applicants applied for recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force in the ongoing recruitment exercise in Bauchi Command.

The Bauchi Police boss made this known while briefing journalists after monitoring the recruitment process of the police constables at Police Training Center, Yalwa in Bauchi recently.

Auwal Musa warned against any form of corruption in the ongoing recruitment exercise as the aim is to produce the best for the Nigeria Police.

Our correspondent in Bauchi who covered the occasion, reports that the applicants representing the 20 LGAs of the state, are currently undergoing thorough screening at the Police Training School, Bauchi under the watchful eyes of the representatives of Police Service Commission (PSC), Federal Character Commission (FCC), Ministry of Police Affairs, Bauchi State Office of the Head of Service and Police Training Department.

The nature of the applicants’ thorough screening includes checking their credentials, height and chest measurements, flat foots and light medical observation to ascertain their health condition preparatory to the actual training after shortlisting.

The CP expressed satisfaction with the way and manner the process was going and therefore commended all officials for their commitment.

He also hailed the Federal Government, the IGP and the Chairman, Police Service Commission for their efforts to increase the number of Police personnel to meet the security challenges in the country.
