Clergy urges on peace, religious tolerance

A Clergy, Pastor Yakubu Yiiji has appealed to religious leaders in the country to continue to maintain peace and promote religious tolerance, in their domain.

Pastor Yilji who is also the clerk, House of Representatives Committee on Public Petitions made the appeal recently while speaking with news men at the National Assembly complex, Abuja.

He urged clerics to continue to pray for the success of the present administration under President Muhammadu Buhari “Let us continue to ensure religious tolerance,  that is the only way to maintain peace”.

Speaking on the recent budget presented to the National Assembly by President Buhari, Pastor Yilji applauded the President for presenting the budget on time and also commended him for being resolute in his determination to build a virile and healthy economy for the nation.

He expressed hope in the budget, saying that if fully implemented will go a long way in addressing most of Nigeria problems.

Similarly the clerk also commended the Governor of Plateau State. Simon Bako Lalong for his efforts towards ensuring that peace is restored back in Plateau State and urged all hands to be on deck to develop the State.

He further described the administration of Governor Lalong as one of the best in terms of payment of salaries and other developments “it is worthy of note that the governor didn’t disappoint the citizens, peculiarly the civil servants,”Hesaids.
