THE Plateau State Secretary to the Government of the State (SGS), Professor Danladi Abok Atu, has debunked allegations making the rounds that he was in Kaduna State to sell the Plateau Liaisons Office to him, describing it as baseless and deliberate act of mischief workers.
He stated this recently while briefing journalists in his office in Jos, the state capital following reports from some social media platforms, accusing him of planning to sell some properties belonging to the Plateau State Government in Kaduna State.
He explained that Plateau State Government has three properties in Kaduna State and all this while, they have not concluded the processing of the land documents. That was why his Excellency, the Governor directed him, being the Chairman of the committee inaugurated March 18, 2023 to access all properties belonging to the state government.
The SGS said, “Some people think selling of such historic property can be sold like selling bread or groundnut. If you were aware, the Kaduna State Government has embarked on the demolition of properties without Land Tittles and this has affected some states, hence the decision by the government to get this done.
“I am sure we enjoyed this privilege because our governor is the Chairman of the Northern Governors Forum. if not, consider how strictly laws were implemented by the El-Rufai led administration”, he enthused.
Atu, however, described the allegations as primarily the game work of mischief makers who would not want to rate high the achievements of the Rescue Administration in the past eight years. Instead, they look for reasons to paint it black.
