New LG boss promises inclusive government

THE Chairman of Jos North Local Government Council Shehu Bala Usman said he would operate an open door policy to carry everybody along irrespective of political, religious and ethnic differences.

This was revealed in a press release signed by Philip Eplong senior information officer Jos North local Governments and made available to THE NIGERIA STANDARD last Sunday in Jos,Plateau state capital.

Usman stated this while receiving his certificate of return as Chairman elect of Jos North Local Council at the Headquarters of the Plateau State Independent National Election Commission PLASEIC in Jos.

He appreciated the effort of the PLASEIC for for ensuring a peaceful process and commended the police and other security agencies for their efforts before, during and after the election.

He said his administration would consolidate on the peace and development of the area to take Jos North to a tourist haven.

He used the occasion to call on the peace loving  and good people of Jos North local government area to join hands with his administration to develop the locality.

He maintained that the outcome of the election which saw his emergence as chairman is a victory for all as he in a no victor and no vanguish position.

Usman, appreciated the various youths, development associations, JNI, CAN, women for contributing their quota to development of democracy in the area adding that he would forever remain gratitude to all.
