IT was at first assumed to be the usual provision shop which sells eatables and not a special life changing unique herbal tea. Before now, many passers-by have been kept wondering why people troop in at such an early hour of the day to have a cup of what the shop offers not until lately.

As strategic as the shop is  along JD Gomwalk Road, adjacent THE NIGERIA STANDARD building, the young man, Joseph Auta Kwada, has been changing the lives of so many people with his special brown tea made from local plants.

People as early as 7:30am park their cars around that vicinity looking for a space to sit and have a feel of this special tea. It was truly attested that, a first visit to this place calls for a continuous visit because of its unique health benefit.

This goes to say that, what we are blessed with as human beings can only be made useful when we care to discover how good they can be of help to our well being. Our inability to discover these potentials in the vegetation around us, has not only denied us the opportunity to develop ourselves economically but live an unhealthy life.

In a chat with this talented young man, he said “I went to as far as Maiduguri to learn how to make this tea. Looking at it on the Plateau, we have all these natural herbs.

Let me tell you that, Plateau State is so blessed and I look at how people shiver because of how cold Plateau weather is and thought of the benefits the tea has over some health challenges like infertility and others.

“So, I decided to make it  just as in Maiduguri which on the Plateau, many people are not aware of. I  use ginger, lemon grass which are everywhere in the state and can add it to the tea and milk, tomeric, kamatari and so many others to make it good for the well being of my customers. It is not artificial  but pure natural herb.

“This tea is an antioxidant. It cleanses us all from these things that we consume everyday and makes us to be very light when you are heavy. It has no side effects because they are all natural herb. Now that people understand its importance, they have been patronizing my shop at all times”, he highlighted.

However, Kwada’s target is to expand his business whereby two thousand people can be served in a day so that, he will be able to impact on the lives of people in the state and country at large. A cup of this tea is sold between one to two hundred naira depending on the type of the concoction.

As it is Joseph Auta Kwada, makes two to three thousand naira every day from this business.  Apart from the health benefits, it has its monetary benefits which has been great.

A customer, Ishaya Bwede, of Jenta-Adamu Jos, who has been taking this tea for over a year testified to the fact that, this special tea has been helpful to him ever since he started taking the tea. He has introduced so many people to it and there has never been any reported side effect from those he introduced to the tea.

He said, “seriously, the first day I was introduced to this tea,  I never knew it was this great. I really felt good within me because, it is truly a cleanser of all the toxins out of the body. All those I introduced to the tea came back appreciating me”.
