PPC GM hails NUJ Chapel

GENERAL Manager, Plateau Publishing Corporation (PPC), Publishes of THE NIGERIA STANDARD and SUNDAY STANDARD newspapers Jos, Dr. Boniface Gwotbit has showered accolades on the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), PPC chapel over the recent peaceful conduct of election.

Dr. Gwotbit gave the accolade while receiving in audience the newly elected executive council (Exco) on a courtesy call in his office in Jos, last Tuesday.

He also congratulated the new Exco over their victories and told them that every office given goes with responsibility. He urged them to carry all their members along, so as to move the chapel and the entire organization forward.

Dr. Gwotbit said that the management has good working relationship with all the unions of the corporation. He stated that they have equally been working as a family. He then assured the new Exco of the management’s continued to support.

He pointed out that the management’s doors are widely open for staff to bring any good suggestions that would bring improvement to the organization, urging staff to shun rumours that are baseless.

Earlier in his remarks, the newly elected chairman, NUJ, PPC Chapel, Mr. Israel Lar expressed delight and said that they were at the GM’s office to fraternize themselves with the management as well as to officially introduce the newly elected Exco of the chapel to them.

Mr. Lar stated that the Exco was working towards changing the editorial department with some new initiatives. He assured the management of unflinching support at all times.
