Two students of the Federal University, Wukari, Taraba State, were abducted late Monday night at the school premises by suspected Fulani herdsmen.
The institution’s Chief Security Officer, Sule Gani, confirmed the incident yesterday, saying that the male and female students had graduated but stayed behind to remedy some of their courses.
According to him, the incident occurred around 11pm within the school premises.
Gani added that the two students had gone out to purchase something “and some suspected Fulani took them away.”
The Nigeria Standard made efforts to reach the Taraba State police spokesman but he did not answer his phone.
