The Executive Chairman of Karu Local Government Council, Hon James Thomas, has a fruitful deliberation with the leadership of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) Karu LGA branch.
The Chairman who addressed the leaders, expressed his happiness that despite migrants coming all the way from the Northeastern part of the country, they should cohabit peacefully with the inhabitants and go about their legitimate businesses without any negative act capable of jeopardizing the peaceful coexistence of the area.
He said that ” It is our believe that we will continue to live in peace with one another. Within the scope of one year in office, we have in our little way sunk a borehole in your main camp, appointed one of your sons as PA on IDPs, and recently, I went to the embassy of Qatar to lobby for improved standards of living for those of you in Karu LGA.
“It is on this basis that we seek for your maximum support and cooperation especially as the elections draw nearer, your votes will go a long way in reciprocating our gesture,” he stated
