THE Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Police Command, CP Bethrand C. Onuoha, has ordered for water-tight security across the state, before, during and after the Eid-el-fitr celebration to ensure hitch-free festivities.
In a statement by the Command’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP William Aya, he also felicitated with Muslims on the occasion of the 2024 Eid-el-Fitr celebrations and equally congratulated them for the successful completion of the fasting during the holy month of Ramadan.
He further charged all the Divisional Police Officers, their Supervisory Area Commanders and Tactical and Operational Commanders to beef up security within their areas of responsibilities and ensure massive deployment of patrol teams along the major highways and undercover operations to black spots, flashpoints and other vulnerable criminal spots to nip in the bud all forms of crimes and criminality across the state.
The CP reiterated the Command’s unwavering commitment to working in synergy with other security agencies as well as critical stakeholders in ensuring the safety of lives and property.
The CP urged the good people of the state to continue to collaborate with the security forces through providing prompt and credible information on the activities of criminals to curtail their acts.
