Mohammed announces use of technology to curb crime,criminality

In his determination to get rid of all forms of crime and criminality in the state, Governor Bala  Mohammed of Bauchi State, recently announced the intention of his administration to engage technology for effective result.

Governor Bala  made this public at the end of the year 2023 party, organised by the Nigerian Police Force, Bauchi State Command, where he said the use of technology would assist the state government to deal decisively with criminals.

He appreciated  Bauchi Police Command and other security agencies in the state for their tireless efforts towards tackling security challenges across the state and pledged to continue to provide them with a conducive environment to discharge their responsibilities diligently.

While acknowledging the harmonious relationship between his administration and security agencies in the state, he emphasised the need for synergy among all the stakeholders in order to achieve the desired objectives. Also in appreciation, Governor Bala willingly donated the sum of one hundred million Naira to Bauchi Police Command.

The governor reassured that his administration will not relent in ensuring maintenance of law and order in the state for investment opportunities which will contribute to economic development of the state.

Governor Bala Mohammed, who therefore expressed gratitude to Bauchi Police Command for presenting him with an award of excellence in recognition of his administration’s unwavering commitment towards the promotion of peace and security, said the award will ginger him to do more for security services to operate effectively.

On his part, the Bauchi State Commissioner of Police, Auwal Musa Mohammed, explained that the award presented to Governor Bala Mohammed was in appreciation of his administration’s huge investment in the maintenance of peace and security across the state.

Similarly, the state First Lady, Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed has been presented with an award of excellence as the Champion Against Gender Based Violence.

Our correspondent reports that journalists in Bauchi were not Left out of the Police awards presentation as Ishola Michael of Tribune News Paper and Auwal Hassan of Viewers TV also received awards as Best Reporters in Print and Electronic respectively.
