The Nigerian Navy Headquarters has issued a warning regarding fraudulent online advertisement and sales of admission forms for the Nigerian Navy College of Health Sciences and Technology Offa in Kwara State.

The scam targets unsuspecting members of the public, promising admission into the college.

This was said in a statement signed by Commodore AO Ayo-Vaughan. According to him, the cost of obtaining admission forms is fifteen thousand Naira (N15,000.00), with an additional one hundred and eighty six thousand eight hundred and fifty Naira (N186,850.00) as school fees.

The criminals behind the scam instructed all payments to be made into a First Bank of Nigeria account number 3162014359, under the name Lieutenant Inusa Endurance, with the associated phone number 09134510613.

Moreover, the advertisement includes contact information for a self-proclaimed Public Relations Officer, with phone contacts 09134483230 and 09134510613. The scammers have also set a scheduled date for interviews and tests, which is stated to be held from 4th to 15th September 2023.

It is important to note that the Nigerian Navy College of Health Sciences (NNCHS) Offa, Kwara State, is exclusively for Nigerian Navy medical personnel and does not admit civilians. Therefore, the college has no basis for advertising admission forms to the public. The names, phone numbers, and bank account provided in the fraudulent advertisement are all part of the scam and have no affiliation with the Nigerian Navy or the NNCHS.

The public, especially prospective applicants, are strongly advised to verify information from credible sources such as www.nigeriannavy.mil.ng before making any financial commitments. It is crucial to stay vigilant and avoid falling victim to such fraudulent schemes.
