Governor Mutfwang commissions clinic in Vwei

Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, commissioned a clinic in Vwei community, Mararaban Jama’a, in Jos South Local Government Area of the State.

The Governor noted that the clinic which has been strategically sited at the entry route to Jos, the state capital, will cater for the healthcare needs of both the local residents and passersby.

Governor Mutfwang praised the efforts of Hon. Peter Vwang Dung, the Transition Committee Chairman of Jos South Local Government Area, who oversaw the construction.

The governor expressed his administration’s strong commitment to significant investments in the healthcare sector, emphasising fiscal responsibility and the completion of beneficial projects.

“I assure the people of Plateau that this administration will prioritise prudence and ensure that every penny spent benefits the citizens. We have directed all local government chairmen to assess and complete abandoned projects that serve the community. Our focus is on projects that truly benefit our people,” Governor Mutfwang affirmed.

Governor Mutfwang called upon the community to collectively safeguard and utilise the facility for the well-being of all residents.

Hon. Peter Vwang Dung, while welcoming Governor Mutfwang to the site, said work on the clinic started in 2010 but was later abandoned until his appointment a few months ago. He said the clinic is significant in view of its potential to meet the health needs of the local populace.

He reaffirmed the commitment of Jos South residents to support the Time is Now administration’s vision, which is aimed at enhancing the lives of the people through the delivery of quality healthcare services.

The Gbong Gwom Jos, Da Jacob Gyang Buba, on his part, urged the community to make optimal use of the facility, and stressed the need to always preserve the people’s identity
