Kaduna NUJ commends Governor Sani

The Kaduna State Council of the NUJ rose from its Congress recently and commended Governor Uba Sani for flagging-off the construction of roads, especially in rural areas across the state.

This was among the various deliberations at its monthly congress presided over by the Chairman of the Council, Asma’u Yawo, on 1st February 2024.

In a communique issued at the end of the well attended Congress, it said, “That the State Government should plead with the Federal Government to hasten the on-going construction of Nnamdi Azikiwe Way, Kaduna Western bye-pass, in view of its security implications.

The Congress in session also commended the efforts of the State Government in ensuring the security of lives and property of citizens and that more efforts should also be channeled along the Kaduna-Abuja highway.

It also said that the State Government should ensure that heavy duty trucks plying township roads should maintain the 6pm status quo of restriction of movement along township routes.

The Congress also stressed “That the State Government should provide adequate security and an enabling environment especially for journalists.
