My administration is dedicated to selfless service – Mutfwang

Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State has said that his administration is dedicated to selfless service, embodying the principles of love, compassion and empathy.

He stated this while declaring open the Seventh-Day Adventist Men’s Organisation Convention held in Jos, Plateau State.

Governor Mutffwang said that the convention of the Northern Nigeria Union which had the theme ‘’Re-focussing for Missions” was apt as the region was bedeviled by security and other related problems.

“Preaching the word of God is a duty for all of us to carry and this embodies one of our missions as a government, reaching out to souls through service, Mutfwang emphasised.

” We will not relent in championing the cause of Christ while we serve the people.We will continue to collaborate with bodies such as this to ensure that while we make efforts to deliver on our mandate, the body of Christ also gains,” he said.

According to him, it is essential for people to recognise the significance of missions in Northern Nigeria, especially as it is where the people face numerous challenges, both social and spiritual.

He added that the region has been marred by a myriad of security challenges, particularly that which affects the body of Christ.

Mutfwang said that it behooves on the people to be the beacons of hope, love, and peace. He charged the participants to utilise the platform to strengthen their resolve in carrying out Christ’s mission.

He reaffirmed government readiness to always support any noble assembly aimed at generating ideas and solutions that are targeted at solving problems in Plateau and Nigeria at large.

While calling for suggestions that will elicit policies and programmes that would better the lives of people, particularly in the areas of security, he said that the government is making frantic efforts to provide adequate security in the state and ensure that Plateau returns to its old glorious days of the home of peace, tourism and hospitality.

The Governor urged the men to use the opportunity to pray for the state, to overcome its current security challenges and be the change they wish to see in the world, creating a society built on love, justice and peace.

The Gbong Gwom Jos, Da Jacob Gyang Buba in a remark, urged participants to take advantage of the teaching of the great men who came to bless their lives.

The royal father further encouraged them to pray for peace of the state and focus on the mission for salvation of all Christians.

Earlier, President, Northern Nigeria Union Conference, Yohanna Harry appreciated all delegates and guest who attended the conference to build their spiritual life.

The event also featured special prayer for Plateau State and the presentation of gifts to personalities.
