PLSG forges partnership with Houston, Texas

In a significant step toward propelling Plateau State into a future of progress and prosperity, Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has spearheaded a pivotal collaboration between the state and the City of Houston, Texas.

This was revealed in a statement by the Director of Press and Public Affairs to the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Gyang Bere. This partnership aims to reinforce the energy sector, enhance port infrastructure, improve healthcare, and strengthen the agro economy of Plateau State.

During an official meeting with Christopher Denon, Director of Trade and International Affairs, City of Houston, State of Texas, United States of America, Governor Mutfwang said the state has abundant potentials which are ripe and safe for investment and economic growth.

Governor Mutfwang highlighted Plateau’s advantage in hydro power plants, emphasising that this initiative will catalyse industrialisation, thereby stimulating the state’s economy and enhancing internal revenue generation.

He also emphasised the importance of standardising agricultural products, specifically from Plateau State, to enable agro entrepreneurs to benefit from the AGOA initiative and attract substantial Foreign Direct Investments.

Expressing gratitude for Governor Mutfwang’s visit, the Director, Christopher Denon said Houston is the energy capital of the world, which boasts of being the largest port and medical facility globally.

He conveyed Houston’s eagerness to collaborate with Plateau State by offering their expertise to further enhance the state’s development.
