PLSG to partner federal establishments for development

Plateau State Government has expressed its willingness to partner with any federal establishment that wants to bring development to the state .

Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang disclosed this when Heads of Federal Establishments in the state paid him a courtesy visit recently, at Government House, Little Rayfield, Jos, where he promised to provide land for the erection of office accommodation to any federal establishment.

The governor noted that the meeting was timely and important. He said that it affords them time to rejig the process of governance for the overall development of the state.

According to him, ” I don’t” consider your presence as staff of Federal Government but representatives of Plateau people in the federal system. Your presence in the state is therefore crucial. ”

He said, they were invited to brainstorm and to know the challenges they face while discharging their duties and urged them to be good advocates of people of the state.

Governor Mutfwang revealed that the present administration under his watch had come out with constructive engagements with the federal government and called for their cooperation so as to fast track development in the state.

He promised to improve on interface with the Heads of Federal Establishments in the state to regularly reappraise their activities for the good of all.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Heads of Federal Establishments in the state, Mr Emmanuel Taukek, congratulated the governor for his victory at the Supreme Court, saying that the case never distracted him from providing the needed development to the people of the state.

According to him, there are 53 federal agencies in the state and they hold meetings every month. And some of them are in a dire need of accommodation. He lamented that if nothing was done, it would elude the state.

Mr Taukek thanked the governor for availing them the opportunity to have an interface, saying it would further fast track development in all spheres.
