The Provost of the Plateau State College of Health Technology Pankshin, Dr. (Prince) Francis Isah Fwangje has applauded the initiative of Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang of Plateau State over what he said is a very welcome idea and initiative by the state government for the constitution of visitation panels for all state owned tertiary institutions.
Fwangje stated that this singular honour done to the tertiary institutions in the state would definitely enhance better productivity within the management, staff and students. And it would also uplift the standard of education in all the tertiary institutions in the state.
Dr. Francis Fwangje made these observations when he paid host to the Eight (8) man visitation panel during their assignment in the college in the school Boardroom recently.
Dr.  Fwangje added that he is optimistic that with the constitution of the visitation panel for all tertiary institutions, challenges confronting all the institutions would be a thing of the past.
He thanked Governor Mutfwang for his quick intervention and assured the panel that all information needed by the team would be made available to them at all times in order to make their work easier.
While addressing the college management staff earlier in the boardroom, the chairperson of the visitation panel, Prof, Naomi Rugu said they were in the college on  a familiarisation visit and also to have firsthand information on the college before they settle down for the business of the day.
She pointed out that the visitation panel to the college will need the maximum cooperation and support of the management, staff and students to enable them to do their work successfully. As they settled down to interact with the college community, she pleaded and also solicited for the mutual understanding of all stakeholders in order for the aims and objectives for setting up the Visitation Panel be realised.
Prof. Rugu urged them that all hands must be on desk for the exercise to record a huge success at the end of the assignment. He explained that the visitation panel was in the college not to witch-hurt either the management team, staff, or students. But rather, they were in the college to fine tune better ways on how the college system would work effectively for the benefit of all and also for the growth and development of the college.
She maintained that the Visitation Panel would do justice to all the Eight (8) terms of reference outlined to them by the ‘time is now’ administration under the leadership of Barr. Caleb Mutfwang as education is one of the major priority of his administration.
The provost and his management staff took the Visitation Panel members to inspect some of the facilities including classrooms, (lecture halls), the Dariye Auditorium Hall,, the college clinic, the central examination office, toilets, and the college library,
The visitation panel chairperson, Prof. Naomi Rugu and her members also took time to address the Students’ Union Government (SUG) of the college. She advised them to be law abiding and shun acts capable of destroying them and or the college and that they should concentrate on their studies, for that is what brought them to the college and not unionism.
Some of the documents at hand to show the visitation panel by the College Registrar, Barr. Paul Rabo was the Gazette of the law establishing the college and his mandate amongst others.
Submission of memorandum spelling out useful information, complaints, observations or recommendations to the visitation panel from relevant stakeholders, staff and students were requested by the chairperson of the visitation panel. The memorandum which could be handwritten, typed or recorded should be submitted to the panel Secretary, Mr. Solomon Mwankon.
