Senator applauds First Lady’s motherly gesture

Senator I. D. Gyang has commended the motherly gesture and empathetic leadership demonstrated by the wife of the President and First Lady, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Her Excellency, Senator Remi Tinubu for a #500m financial support to victims of terror attacks in affected local governments of Plateau State.

Senator ID Gyang disclosed this in a statement signed by his Media ASSISTANT, Barr. Evelyn Pulle and issued to newsmen.

The Senator’s commendation followed the personal visit of First Lady Tinubu to Jos on Tuesday,12th September 2023 where she interacted with the victims and made the donation.

Senator Gyang observes that the visit was a demonstration of motherly care, concern, and love, saying it will help the displaced and surviving victims in re-starting new lives having lost homes, properties, and loved ones.

Senator Gyang equally notified President Bola Tinubu that Plateau State is yet to benefit from the 500 housing units initiated by the immediate past administration to resettle communities affected by banditry and terrorism across the North East, North West, and North Central.

Furthermore, a pledge of #10 billion by the immediate past administration of President Buhari to affected communities in the state is yet to be redeemed.

Senator Gyang believes that sincere, purposeful, and inclusive leadership that is just, fair, and humane, earns the confidence and loyalty of citizens thereby engendering peace and unity.
