Supreme Court ruling: NUJ felicitates with Governor

The Kaduna State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has congratulated Governor Uba Sani over the ruling by the Supreme Court which affirmed him as the duly elected governor of the February, 2023 gubernatorial election.

A release E-signed by Asma’u Yawo Halilu, Council Chairman and Gambo Santos Sanga, Council Secretary, said, “The Kaduna State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) wishes to join other well meaning Nigerians to congratulate the Executive Governor of the state, Senator Uba Sani over the last Friday ruling by the apex court, affirming him as the duly elected governor of the February, 2023 gubernatorial election held in the state.

“The Kaduna Council of NUJ also described the decision of the court as a resounding victory for all peace loving citizens of the state. They are also appealing to all and sundry to support and cooperate with Governor Uba Sani for a more peaceful and prosperous Kaduna State.

In the statement, they expressed optimism on the ability and capacity of Governor Uba Sani to effect positive changes and restore the hope of the common man, especially in the areas of peace and security, unity and religious harmony, as well as socioeconomic and political growth.

According to the statement , Governor Uba Sani has demonstrated visionary qualities of a leader with genuine concern for the welfare and well being of his citizens through renewed approach towards inter-ethnic and religious tolerance in all sections of the state, hence the need for prayers and cooperation by all to enable him succeed in his developmental projects.

The statement further implored people in Kaduna State to take advantages of the meaningful developmental policies and programmes of the Governor Uba Sani led administration for lasting security and harmonious coexistence.
